check-mk-agent-logwatch software package provides general purpose nagios-plugin for retrieving data, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install check-mk-agent-logwatch
check-mk-agent-logwatch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the check-mk-agent-logwatch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep check-mk-agent-logwatch *
You will get with check-mk-agent-logwatch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
